“If someone told me our family of 4 would be at @mtstlouismoonstone 6 years ago I would not believe it. 6 years ago, our son Cole was diagnosed with Hemophilia, a bleeding disorder. On that day I closed the door to ever being able to ski with my boys. 5 years ago Cole was diagnosed with Autism, on that day I locked that door. In January Cole was invited to ski with Track3, we thought, let’s try! We’re so glad we did. 💙 Cole was slow and steady each week working with his volunteers, who were beyond patient, who never stopped encouraging Cole and who are so educated on teaching kids with special needs to ski. Everyone’s hard work paid off and on this last day Cole’s older brother (Isaac) came to try skiing for the 1st time. Isaac joined the volunteers and together got Cole to use the chair lift for the 1st time and got Cole skiing on his own! I have now unlocked that door, swung it open and in winter 2025, we will be skiing as a family of 4. Track3 you have changed our lives. #DYK Since @mattel first committed to including @barbie dolls with disabilities in their 2019 Barbie Fashionistas line, people with disabilities have been vocal about how edifying it would have been to see dolls with disabilities when they were growing up. After all, prior to the launch of the 2019 Fashionistas line, Barbie dolls looked fairly homogenous — extremely tall and slender and exclusively able-bodied. To many, featuring Barbie dolls with disabilities felt well overdue — Barbie devotees may remember the then-singular Wheelchair Barbie doll‘s discontinuation in 1997 after manufacturers discovered her wheelchair couldn’t fit inside the coveted Barbie Dreamhouse. Wheelchair users and others with physical disabilities have spent years being hidden away in the Barbie world and consequently playing with dolls that didn’t fully represent them. And to complicate matters, athletic dolls with mobility challenges seemed to be as elusive as an accessible entrance to a Barbie Dreamhouse — until now. 💪

This sensory room was built by the team at @glenforestss. The Story ⬇️ Track3 was gifted this special couch by our Community Partner @barumbaplay to use in our auction at our recent 50th Anniversary fundraising event. The winner of this item regifted it to one of our guests @zychali (pay it forward). Her idea was to donate this amazing sensory play couch to her classroom that supports their ASD community of students. It’s since turned into so much more as is providing additional comfort for emotional challenges students face. The room is still in developing stages. Big feels for our Track3 community. 🔔The @nationalskiacademycollingwood holiday auction has officially started! 🔔 For the 6th year in a row, the NSA is running a Holiday Online Auction as one of their primary fundraising initiatives for the year. Last year the online auction was very successful, and they were able to raise over $20,000 🎉 Again, this year, The NSA will be donating a portion of the funds they raise to support Ontario Track3 Adaptive Sports Association 🎉 Donations make a difference by providing children and youth of our programs the opportunity to experience the exhilaration and freedom of skiing and snowboarding, allowing them to discover their true abilities.
